It is about a girl who falls in love with another girl, thinking she is a boy. It is a play that deals with sexuality, identity and friendship.
It is a love story, pure and simple.
It was created using a mix of different styles of theatre. We began by deciding a rough outline for the play (we used the basic structure of Romeo and Juliet) then improvised scenes, which we video recorded. These scenes were then transcibed into a document by members of the ensemble and then rewritten by them. When we had a whole script we used that in our rehearsals, but then improvised dialogue, tweaked it and rewrote it. The monologues were written by the actors performing them. There are still parts of the play that are improvised on the night.
